*PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! IT HOPEFULLY CLEARS UP CONFUSION*
This is for *Nekoyasha12’s contest. Her contest was to take a Warriors character and portray their inner self or soul. She said it had to be a mythical creature or an animal. I for some reason really wanted to do Bluestar, so I did some research and decided she should be a one of a kind dragon. I was going to do a Phoenix, but I really didn’t feel as much connection

The Idea
While doing this project for 2-3 weeks, I tried to think of as many ways to connect her with such a random creature, I surprisingly found a lot of similarities
Fire: While looking at Bluestar’s wiki page, I found a wonderful quote from Bluestar’s Prophecy it stated that "Like fire, you will blaze through the forest. But beware, even the most powerful flames can be quenched by water." I haven’t read the book yet, it’s probably a popular quote, but this perfectly matches her. A dragon has a very powerful body that could charge through practically anything like a forest. It also can breathe fire much as Bluestar is fire. However, they both can become powerless from the simplest of things.
Steps: It seems a little farfetched. I was drawing the scales on the dragon’s belly and going for an alligator design, when I realized they were symbolic. They were very uneven and looked like stones, which could be argued that they are uneven because of Bluestar’s rough life. She faced many conflicts which caused the scales or her stepping stones to become cracked and broken.
Chinese Influence: Originally, the dragon was supposed to be a Chinese Dragon. I then realized it was a little difficult to portray so I mixed a regular, scary dragon with a Chinese… Anyways, the Chinese culture always reminded me of a very structured civilization from the beginning (even if it wasn’t always). The Warrior’s civilization is brilliantly structured just like the Chinese’s, especially for a group of cats. It probably wouldn’t be the same without Bluestar’s contribution. The Asian Gazebo was added to symbolize Thunderclan’s land as well.
The Chinese Dragon: It is respected throughout their culture. It is even on the Chinese Zodiac and I feel is the most important animal (also the only mythical). Bluestar is respected by not only Thunderclan, but many other cats from the forest.
Fire Eye: If you look closely, in the dragon’s eye, there is a twinkle, it is supposed to be flames. I wanted to show a “reflection” of Bluestar somehow, so the dragon’s eye was the perfect solution. She is fire because of the quote I referred to earlier. The flame could also resemble the spark that was sent of when Bluestar was betrayed by Tigerclaw which turned into a wildfire of emotions.
Leadership: Of course, Bluestar was the leader of Thunderclan for quite a while. A dragon is definitely superior to other animals which gives it a degree authority (which is leadership).
Scales: A dragon has scales to protect itself from any enemy. Bluestar went through so much in the series that she must have grown some sort of protective barrier to deflect conflict.
Agility: Bluestar was described as a very sleek looking cat. I could see that since Warriors do need a fast body to run away from danger or to attack. A dragon obviously is fast from its strong wings.
Wisdom: Hearing many stories as a kid, I learned that a dragon could be a sign of wisdom to some people. Bluestar constantly learned from her mistakes and became an intelligent cat as time went on.
Beauty: Although not all dragons are, a Chinese Dragon has a vibrant look that many would consider beauty. Other than her battle scars, Bluestar is stunning. She has such a unique coat that could be related to the bold colors of a Chinese Dragon.
Myths: Sadly, Bluestar died early in the series. She went up to Starclan to gaze upon Thunderclan and become part of a new journey. Not all the cats that were present in the series believed in Starclan, a majority of them being Kittypets. Not all people believe in dragons. But who knows what is true?
Anything Else?
I really hope I do win this, but if I don’t, I’m glad I joined. There are some very good people who joined and I wish everyone the best of luck.

Really cool. But just so you know, It's "Like fire, you will blaze through the forest. But beware; even the strongest of flames can be DESTROYED by water."
Oh, and it's a prophecy, not a quote. But the picture is really AWESOME.
