Warriors: A New Era (Chapter 13)

It was finally moonhigh. Since her sister was going to be a warrior, Spottedstorm couldn't stop worrying about her.

She clearly remembered what happened right before her ceremony. Tigerpaw saying things like "Lucky. I can't believe my two sisters are going to be warriors before I do! I know my mouse-brained father will never make me a warrior," She was bothered when Tigerpaw said it earlier. Now she could agree with the "mouse-brained" part. With all the things Silverstar revealed in the past moon, he had to be mouse-brained.

Moonclan was rowdy when waiting for Tigerpaw's ceremony. It was too disrespectful for Spottedstorm's taste.

"Everyone! Quiet down. The ceremony is about to start," Scartalon yelled.

Spottedstorm looked at the cat sitting next to her, Bluedapple. "This is it!" Bluedapple whispered.

Spottedstorm agreed about the remark.

Silverstar finally sat down on the tallest rock on Highstones. Tigerpaw followed her father's footsteps. Everyone was stiff in the dark, waiting for it to start.

Ready to speak, Silverstar looked down at Tigerpaw.

"I, Silverstar, leader of Moonclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice," he quickly paused. Looking up at Starclan, he continued, "She has trained very hard to understand the ways of your warrior code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in their turn," It was hard to see Silverstar, but he had a expression of joy. He went on, "Tigerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," she said in a mature voice.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. Tigerpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Tigermask. Starclan honors your courage and your loyalty and we welcome you as a full warrior of Moonclan," he announced.

Spottedstorm froze. Tigermask, she thought.

That was the thing she prophesied at Rustystones! She looked at Mosspool. Mosspool nodded acknowledging Spottedstorm's ability was not fake.

"Tigermask, Tigermask," the clan shouted. The loudest voice was Scartalon. He was especially proud of his former apprentice.

After the cheering, the meeting was over. Everyone crowded around Tigermask, trying to congratulate her. Spottedstorm already talked to Tigermask, so she decided to make her way towards Mosspool.

Spottedstorm squeezed by Rainshadow, who was talking to Mosspool earlier.

"Congrats!" Mosspool mewed to Spottedstorm.

"For what?" she asked.

"Your training. Your ability is getting better. It shouldn't long until you will be done!" Mosspool said.

"Really?" Spottedstorm continued, "We just started!"

Mosspool nodded. "You're a fast learner, the type of learner that is great for this." Mosspool replied.

Spottedstorm was amazed. She never really thought she was a fast learner. She just wanted to get the job done.

"However, meet me at Rustystones at sunhigh, We need to do more! Now get some sleep," Mosspool said.

Spottedstorm smiled and went to her den.
